For this Easter Sunday we played several classic 78s with an Easter theme such as Wilma Lee and Stoney Cooper's "Legend of the Dogwood Tree." We also played some of my recent 78 acquisitions including Joe Franklin, Clayton McMichen, and Byron Parker and his Mountaineers.Joe Bussard's 77th Country Classics show featured some of the earliest country music ever recorded featuring the likes of Eck Robertson, Fiddlin' John Carson, Samantha Bumgarner, and many more. We are currently scheduled for preemption Sunday April 23rd, but Saturday the 22nd I invite everyone over to Killingly Grange where the doors open at 6pm for a send off bluegrass jam for yours truly and Marti. It will be a grand time.
