Bob Bovee in Connecticut 4/15/16 |
Today's show was a potpourri of song choices that struck me as needing an airing.
The playlist included music from Johnny Paycheck going on about the I.R.S. (a favorite subject), Hank Thompson, Johnny Barfield, Jan Howard, Wynn Stewart, and Glenn Ohrlin.
Also, on the heels of his first Connecticut appearance last Friday, we heard a great old cowboy song from Bob Bovee, and a recent version of an old song from old-time group The Ill-Mo Boys whom you may have discerned are from Illinois and Missouri.
Joe Bussard's portion of the show included several artists making first appearances on the show, including Hoyt Ming & His Pep Steppers, Ridgel's Fountain Citians, William McCoy, Roma Jackson, and Ted Mullins.
Join Marti and me next Sunday for more great sounds from America's country past.
