Today was an all Joe Bussard day, and before you get to the playlist, let me explain why.
Jim and Joe Bussard in late December 2016 |
Whew!
To get all of these shows aired as soon as possible, I decided to give Joe the entire two hour show today instead of his usual hour, and we played his New Year's Day Country Classics show as well as his Hot Town Jazz monthly show which actually was scheduled to air today on the 15th. We are nearly caught up as soon as we can air Joe's January 8th show. Perhaps we will do that next week along with the January 22nd show.
Now, on to the playlist.
Joe did a special Hank Williams Tribute for the first half hour, followed by his usual Country Classics, and then brought many obscure jazz classics to us on his Hot Town Jazz show. We're proud of Joe's Hot Town because it is the only jazz show he has ever done for any radio station, and it is unique to Red Rooster Party and WHUS.
We hope you enjoyed what we played, and will join us next Sunday 2-4pm ET for another great afternoon of classic country music.
