Bud Isaacs |
Marti joined the show today and we did a pedal steel guitar primer on this show with the earliest popular use of the pedal steel from Bud Isaacs, both with the breakthrough hit for the instrument, Webb Pierce's "Slowly" and a couple of solo instrumentals from Bud.
We also heard from Johnnie & Jack, Skip Gorman, and Jenks "Tex" Carman among other great early country selections and some western music.
Joe Bussard presented his 40th program of early country classics.
See you soon.
