Playlist - 11/27/2016 - Early Female Vocalists and Bussard's "Hot Town"

Hi Folks.

The first hour of todays's show included much in the way of early recordings from pioneering female vocalists in country music.  This included The Coon Creek Girls, Rose Maddox, and the popular (judging from the phone calls) DeZurik Sisters.  We also heard more from Washington Phillips and debuted Big Bill Lister on the show with a 1951 recording.

Joe Bussard presented his monthly installment of his early jazz program, a Red Rooster Party exclusive called "Hot Town" and had the joint jumping.

Join us next Sunday for more great early country and gospel, and Joe Bussard returns with his Country Classics.
