Playlist - 3/12/2017

Hi Folks.

We dodged a preemption bullet and had a full show today.

I took the first hour to play some things that have been on my radar recently including a 1951 78 RPM record by Rebe and Rabe, an Alabama duo with amazing old time
harmonies. Also we had a tribute to Don Stover who would have turned 89 last week, the earliest record by the Lilly Brothers, a newly-released box set of Bill Monroe's 1951 recording sessions, Rural Retreat VA guitarist and banjoist Jim Lloyd, award-winning VA guitarist Steve Kilby, The Sauceman Brothers with Curly Seckler, and Reno-style banjo master Jason Skinner.

Joe Bussard's 72nd program included some rare jewels from his collection plus selections from a Seldom Scene concert that Joe recorded live in 1980.  You can hear Joe's show again here.

Join us next week for another great show of America's country music heritage plus Joe Bussard's Hot Town jazz program.
